Berachot is the first tractate of the first order of the Mishnah. The Order of Zeraim (Seeds) primarily deals with laws relating to plants and farming. The connection between Berachot (Blessings) and the agricultural laws is that many blessings are related to partaking of food.
Berachot is the only tractate in Zeraim to have a Gemara (rabbinical commentaries and analysis) from both the Babylonian Talmud and the Jerusalem Talmud.
The final folio of the tractate speaks about the conduct and attributes of Torah scholars as well as the reward for studying.
R. Levi b. Chiya said: One who on leaving the synagogue goes into the House of Study and studies the Torah is deemed worthy to welcome the Divine Presence, as it says, They go from strength to strength, every one of them appeareth before God in Zion.
R. Chiya b. Ashi said in the name of Rav: The disciples of the wise have no rest either in this world or in the world to come,
